Bravotv.com: How has your life changed since starring on The Real Housewives of NJ?
Albie: It’s been so much fun starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing my family on TV, but everyone has been so great to us so far. Facebook has been getting a lot more friend requests, but I love talking to people who have seen the show. I write back to almost every message I get, it’s one of my favorite things to do.
Which storyline (besides your own) do you find most interesting on the show?
It’s hard for me to choose my favorite storyline. I absolutely love watching Teresa’s family; Joe and their girls always make me laugh. They are so much fun to be around. It’s great to see how far some people have come since we started filming. I’m so proud of Lauren and all her accomplishments since starting at artistic academy. I’m excited to see what she does with it because she clearly is very talented and has the personality to back it up. She’s gonna do big things, wait and see. Chris finally has a desk over at Brownstone U. I love to joke about it, but I give him a ton of credit for sticking it out over there. It’s a lot of hard work and he’s great at what he does. If there is a season 2, Bravo needs to pick up their game and get some more footage of papa dukes and my uncles, because those guys would steal the show.
Are you single? What do Jersey guys look for in a girlfriend?
I like a girl that’s independent, down to earth, that can make me laugh. I’m not into drama, except on Tuesday nights. School makes the likelihood of any relationship working slim. I always tell my friends, sometimes I feel like I’m dating law school. The entire thing just completely consumes your life, the second you get distracted it could come back to haunt you so staying focused has been my main priority.
Are there any misconceptions about you that you'd like to clear up?
YES. #1: I am not as dependent on my mother as it may seem. I lived in New York for four years on my own while I was at Fordham, so believe me, I can take care of myself. At the same time, I’m very close with my family and appreciate the kind of relationship we have, especially with my mom and dad. #2 I’m not THAT serious! I may come off like I’m this really serious guy, but trust me, I’m a Gemini, and I do have a much more easygoing side that loves to have fun.
Have you ever watched any of the other Housewives series?
Yup, I finally got to meet Vicki and Briana the other night from RHOC and they were awesome. I actually met Bethenny before RHNJ came out in Atlantic City and she was very nice. I met Jill about a month ago in New York and she was very cool as well.
What's your take on Danielle's book scandal?
I’m going to hold off on commenting on Danielle until after the finale, I just think it makes more sense that way.
Thanks for reading!
VIDEO: Watch Albie in a Real Kids of New Jersey Webisode: Sibling Rivalry!
Albie, I go to school for clinical psychology, and I love law...so I understand how you feel about feeling like you are dating law...I am close to my mom (we are an Italian family) and many think the same about me that I let my mother chose my answers. It is hard to find someone to just make you laugh and take the stress off of school and work. I am 26 and I hate drama as well.
I had never seen Housewives of New Jersey until I saw you on Millionaire matchmaker, and I was like "who is he and why was I not a contestant?" anyway you are amazing and sweet, and just seem like a good family guy....You are all good.
Albie,
I recently (today) rewatched season 2, and have not been able to get you, and this whole law school situation out of my mind. I am a recent graduate of Marshall University, in Huntington, WV, with my BA in Elementary Education, and in August of last year, I started the graduate program in Special Education. During the course of my education, I have come to learn about the Marshall H.E.L.P. program. It is a program for students with learning disabilities who are taking undergraduate/post graduate courses. It was stared by a wonderful and incredibly intelligent woman named Barbara Guyer. She wrote a book called "The Pretenders" which I think would be a great read for you. Please look into this program and book, and feel free to email me for more information!
Thanks, and best wishes with law school!
Sincerely,
Jennifer
Albie,
You WILL be successful, and a learning disability only makes you stronger! Best of luck!
Just saw the Millionaire Matchmaker episode, the date that you took the woman on was so great. More men need to take notes, you seemed so real and nice. Just lovely.
Albie,
Congrats on your law school moving forward. Keep up the good work! Your family is supportive. I like those segments the best. I think you Mom is outstanding. I like here directness. It makes me feel safe to listen to her because I know whatever her decisions and actions are will be full of integrity and honesty! It's comforting to watch her in action! I know that you have inherited these same qualitities and therefore will make an exceptional attorney! Chin, chin my Friend!
what makes You, think you deserve special attention? what person, in their right mind would hire an attorney, that has A D D? you would proably forget what the cases are! shame on you for that!
Albie,
I am a huge fan of The Real Housewives of NJ. I think that you are right about Teresa’s family they are funny, and you need people in your life that will keep you happy. I give you credit for staying focus on getting your law degree and not letting anyone tell you different. I think that you are really cute and a down to earth kind of guy, but I think that credit has to go to your parents for raising you and you siblings. I agree with you on not letting anything distract you from your goals and I wish you all the best and good luck with your schooling.
Albie! You are definitely the best looking guy on the entire Real Housewives series!
Hi Albie Manzo
Good luck with the grad school thing, I know your going to be fine.
I love the dress shirts you wear during interviews, what name brand are they? Where do you get them from?
Hi Albie, I would like to express to you that our ambition may kill us but the outcome will be glorious. I understand your frustration and share the story behind your tears of disappointment. Educators are suppose to inspire us and support us not give up on us. You are a very strong willed man with a wonderful family that loves and supports you. Hang on because your journey is not over yet.
Respectfully,
Jennifer G
Dear Albie,
I was compelled by what you were going through when you were trying to make the best out of your career and school had the nerve to treat you the way they did. I just want to say, you are a driven man and don't let anyone brush your dreams and aspirations away. Your family is proud of you, but most of all your mother. Keep your head up handsome, there's few like you in this world. I look forward to seeing you more in the show :)
-J.
Albie....
You such an inspiration. Im sorry about the whole "law school" incident. That must of been horrible to go through that. Hang in there kid and all will work out... Prove them wrong and become an AMAZING lawyer!
PS- if law school doesn't work out, you should go into acting cause you are GORGEOUS! LOL. ; >
It broke my heart when I heard you speaking to you parents about law school. I could almost picture my son saying the same words. He has Auditory Processing, his only in 3rd grade but he is very aware about how much more work he has to do to get things done. His wonderful kid and has big dreams just like you. Thanks for sharing your struggles with law school. Bringing more awareness to learning disabilities is always a good thing.
Albie,
I too have a learning disability. I have never before written a celebrity and I believe Benjamin Franklin in what he said about advice, “A wise man doesn’t need it and a fool won’t head it.” So, I have none to offer. What I will offer is encouragement. Plan and simple YOU CAN DO IT! As you Mother said don’t let anyone tell you differently. I was told that I could not read and put on Ritalin as a child. In high school I was suspended for five days, the maximum allowed by law here in CA, every semester but one. Twenty years later when I decided to go back to school at the age of thirty –five I read on a third grade level. I could not write a note saying that I had gone to the store, because I could not spell the words, gone or store. I graduated with degrees in Biology and Chemistry and graduated with distinction. Distinction is the only honor that is printed on your transcripts and there are only two given at the school. Everyone has something going against them. You and I may have to work harder or longer or even seek out some help but you can do this.
You will make a GREAT attorney. You have the inner knowledge of right and wrong that so many lawyers lack today. (You knew the, “Ham Game” was not what your parents wanted you to be doing.) Talk to your Prophesiers, ask what you can do to help yourself, take part in every class and any study groups there maybe. Find out who on campus had the best grades in the classes you are having a hard time in and then get your mother to hire them to tutor you. Tell your mother to pay them at an hourly rate with a cash incentive for each grade over a “C” that you earn. A hundred for a “C+”, two for a, “B-“, three for a, “B” . . . This will give them a personal incentive to see that you do well. The more money the more incentive they have to help you succeed. But it is up to you and the only way you can fail is it you quit or choose to just dye in place.
My thought and prays will be with you Counselor.
good luck w/ the appeal albie! I lived through your nightmare lawschool scenario and am forever grateful to my parents For their support during the appeal process that took place the summer after 1L. watching your mom in the scene was Deja vu for me.. don't give up - I made it through the rest of law school and the bar exam and so will you.
think your great... keep on your dreams... you have a great mom and dad.. what a crazy great show to be on... love watching you and the entire cast wish you all the best and much success as a lawyer or what ever else you will do ....
i love your family and the show. you are the total package!!!!!
Good evening Albie,

Hey Albie!
I am from Fordham University, Rose Hill. I graduated in 2007. Its great to see our school name on television. Go Rams!!!!
Albie, it broke my heart to hear you say that you thought you were worthless because of your disability. I just finished my second year of teaching. Half of the amazing children I teach are students with disabilities. Unfortunately many of my students feel the same way you do compared to their peers. They can see what others do in half the time they can do it, with ease. It's a struggle every day for many of them. Often, for students with disabilities, the traditional method of learning is not often the most effective. You should see a reading specialist to give you strategies that will work for you. Think about the best way you learn and go from there. Some people are auditory learners, some are kinestetic learners, some are visual, determine what type of learner you are. Don't let someone who doesn't know you tell you what you can or cannot do. I hope you continue to live out your dream, good luck!
Albie: Listen to your mom about law school. I am an attorney in Los Angeles and HAD a few issues also. In fact, I know several attorneys that are so-called "learning disabled" and are brilliant at this craft. You simply have not figured out which way to absorb the information. Once you have the study method that works for you figured out, you will absolutely succeed in law school if you want to. I don't know if you can contact me through this email, but if you are able, I would be happy to speak to you.
Albie - Just wanted to let you know that 4 years ago I was academically dismissed from the same law school you have been attending. I worked for a year to appeal it and ultimately was denied. Please realize that you have a great opportunity here and that since you have been focused on law school for the past decade, you now have a choice. Either work towards applying to another school, or take the time to decide if this is what you really want. Either way, the perspective you will gain will be priceless. Don't let this define you. No matter what you end up doing, it will be that school's loss in the end. And remember, there are more people like me who were dismissed from law school and went on to be completely happy and successful. Take care!
I have never heard anyone say this but I know that learning disabilities are like snowflakes not two are alike.
However, I can completely relate to what you were describing to your Mother, I have had the same talk with my Mom about that too.
It did not look as though it was the first time hearing about the LD, I'm sure her tears were from the heartache and frustration of knowing how bright and ambitious you are and it's hard to see something hurt your child so much when they know it's not your fault.
I'm not a professional and I hope I don't get criticized by talking about it on a public blog, but I know sometimes relating is more important then feeling humiliated by those who do not understand.
Ok now I can explain my situation and maybe you can take a piece of it and it will help motivate you to keep trying. I do know your Mom would not let you give up either, just like my Mom.
In high school my LD was in comprehending what I read, accents and also what the teachers would lecture on. It was frightening because there were grades to worry about. And we both know thats an anxiety igniter like no other and if the first question of a test stumps you, well, the whole test can seem impossible.
Then my SAT score was not at all good even though I was allowed to take it untimed and in a privet room so I could focus better. Still didn't help. I was a nervous test taker and unfortunately high school was all about standard tests. But the essays, oh the essays were my place to thrive, and I'm guessing you may understand that very well. It's all about explaining what you know about the subject add a little BS facts, law is great for that. But without all the confusing True and false or the multiple choice. I had to read the questions 3 or 4 times and each time I read the questions for those parts my answer made me panic, for people like us having to read the question 3 or 4 times can make you doubt what you know. Uh, so frustrating.
I did good in community collage and thought "wow I can do this" so I enrolled in a small privet Catholic collage where I live. The school was beyond a fortune but the school was said to be very accommodation to students with LDs.
I had a double major, biology/botany and business administration. When you pay over 300 per credit hour the pressure is on regarding grades. The anxiety was to much and I never graduated with either subject and now owe some 22,000, talk about a bummer.
This is what I think could be a little reassuring for you. Your parents are awesome and care so much about their children. Maybe you can ask if you could take off school and not have to work for a year or so and promise you will study 5 to 6 hours would they be willing to help you you do that.
I think good profs. would be very understanding to what you need to help you go where you want to go. Ask for a detailed outline of all the important material they will cover in class, and not the simple outline only including chapters only.
Lots of law school is studying case law and precedent, so maybe really learn the big monumental cases and follow up any type of amendments and the whys and hows. Im not a law student but I love it. My husband jokes with me when I watch the daytime court shows that I should have been a Judge, because I can tell when someone if is being less then honest. It' just kind of funny to me.
The interesting part about subject recall is how many things I can remember and understand now that I'm there is no pressure on getting grades.
Alibi, I know you will do awesome as a lawyer.
Warmly,
kjks
And could you tell your Mom how much I can appreciate her strong love for you and your brother and sister.
To Albie, someone forward if you can, so he or his family can hear this because I do not know how to get a message to him. But know this might encourage them:
Albie and Family: Hey. Just wanted to say my sister is a college prof. and teaches econ and she had a student with reading comprehension problems. She recorded the entire textbook herself reading each chapter for this student because she understood the spoken word better then trying to read and understand. There are good teachers out there and good schools that will help you get thru this. You have so much going for you and will make an awesome lawyer. Never give up, never surrender!!!
Hey Albie, just wanted to say hi :o) I think you have a great sense of humor and I absolutely love your family. I have 3 older brothers and the way that you and Chris and Lauren behave around each other reminds me exactly how my siblings and I do. You seem like a great guy and best of luck with law school and everything else you do. Oh, and if you ever trek it down to WVU, hit a girl up!!
Albie,
I'm in central time zone and now in tears just saw and heard what you went through with law school. I JUST WENT THROUGH THE EXACT SAME THING with law school in MS. I too, have wanted to be an attorney since childhood. I let that school dictate the last year of my life, but not anymore! There has to be something that people like you and I can do, so that NO school, grad, undergrad, etc..., so no other person is allowed to feel that they're worthless and not witness a childhoold dream come true.
It appears you have a great support system from family - you're one of the lucky ones ;-) You'll do great!
Donna
Albie. I am a lawschool student myself and its extremely hard w/o a disability. Listen to ur mom, I will be keeping you in my prayers and never ever let anyone take you dreams away. Your dream go for it!!!

Good luck in law school..I am getting ready to Graduate from college so I know how stressful it is.
I think you are absolutely GORGEOUS. Your smile is to-die-for.

Best of luck on your law career!
I want to see a spinoff show with you and your brothers! You guys are hilarious!
You are very down to earth on the show ..... hopefully that will never change. I have been a paralegal for 15 years and am now applying for law school. A bit late in the game, but hey, lol. Keep up with your committment to law schol and don't give up! Best wishes...
Brandi~
Albie,
if you ever want to grant a wish (wow! i'm lame.....lol) we should take me on a date ;)
Going to keep us hanging until the finale, huh?
I think it's great that you appreciate your family so much. You are right watching Teresa's family is entertaining :)
Albie you're gorgeous. I love your family!
you guys are too cute! =]p it would have been better if they were to show u guys more but yea, its called housewives but still! lolx goodluck with life in general and is the STRIP BAR going into play or was it all a joke? just wondering =]
While you are hilarious, you are ridiculous as well. I mean you oughto be a housewife-a girly funny one-because all your Danielle drama nonsense from the dancing-and how she scares you is over the top. Good Luck in law school!
Was wondering if you want to meet a down to earth, pretty girl? She is my daughter who is going to school at Florida State University. I think you two would make a perfect pair.
Albie,
I commend you on law school. I know it can consume your life. Lived through it for a year and decided not for me. Keep focus and practice writing your arguments. That is the hardest part.
Albie-
You are too cute..maybe Bravo should do a show about you? I enjoyed watching Housewives this time around because I think my family could relate to your family (teasing, having fun, etc)...and my teenage daughter REALLY enjoyed the episodes that you were on! Best of luck in law school-
Albie,i know im a few weeks late in saying this but it needs to be said the scence where you and christopher talk about law school and the strip club/car wash is actually hilarious!Good luck in law school and by the way you are gorgeous, but im sure you already knew that
you are sooo funny...you remind my of my brotherr and guy cousins!! you seem like a good kid and not a train wreck like the rest of people ur age on reality television these days...you got your head on straight!
Ok so how I've been searching for you on facebook since episode 1!! How the heck can I find you Mr???
Well, let's hear it, Albie! You were sitting right next to Danielle on last night's finale and I would love to hear your take on it as someone who's not directly involved. It seems like a lot of "he said, she said", and we all know how much Danielle loves drama and how she must be dizzy from watching the world revolve around her. I'd be interested in knowing how much of this she actually brought on herself and if you thought it was appropriate for her to bring the book to the family dinner that Teresa so graciously invited her to. Your mom and aunts seem like strong, AMAZING women! Good luck in law school!
