Well Done, Young Lady
Anna says how much it meant to her to have Isaac praise her winning look.
July 9, 2009Yay! Final four! I was pretty confident with my dress going into the elimination but still was unsure about how it would be received because of the boldness of it. The print and the bow and the back detail and the crystals, all together had potential to be totally horrific so I am thrilled that it all worked. The moment Isaac shook his finger at me and said “well done young lady,” I just couldn’t help but tear up and totally lose it. I am just overwhelmed and delighted to have such influential people say such nice things about my clothes and beyond that congratulate me on my confidence. The fact of the matter is that I am confident about my talent and the direction I am taking and it has take me 10 years and these few weeks to really let go of my fears about what people are going to think of me and just do what I love. I am amazed that my true instinct is actually doing what I am afraid of not doing-pleasing my audience.
Overall, I am incredibly pleased that I have stayed poised and calm and true to myself the entire time and as a result I have never been in the bottom. I have worked well with and connected with many people here. In the end, I am not focused on winning this competition as much as I am excited about really showing the world what it is that I can do. I am also confident that this competition is not about how big someone’s personality is but how much heart they put into the actual work. All people respond to that.
P.S. I was not offended that they said my dress could end up on the worst dressed list. The most attractive people in the world to me are the bravest. Who wants to look like someone else anyway? What not stand out!

I absolutely LOVE your knit dress in the final, with the bold colorful stripes. Your work is truly sophisticated and creative and fashionable. John Paul is in the same category as you. Daniella's work is awful, boring and unimaginative and I can't believe she won over Reco. You did great girl and I can't wait to get at least two of your dresses for my wardrobe.
I'm shocked your entire collection hasn't sold out yet.

Congratulations on winning, I voted for you literally after the show aired. Your collection was practical, fashionable and pretty. I am from Brooklyn, if I'm not mistaken I've probably seen you on the L, you have that Bedford ave. look.lol. (There are so many people with so many different fashion senses that get off that stop.) Congratulations.

Anna I am so happy that you won. Me personally I hate critics and I always feel they usually are frustrated that they couldn't do what you do or can't do what you do at all. Congratulations, you had the people who love fashion behind you. I fashion that has the whimsy of color in the creations. Also I don't feel a designer has to a have theme running through their designs. Each garment should be looked at as another moment of an artist "feeling" whatever evoked the design. You demonstrate this feeling well Anna. Congratulations again.

I watched last night & although your collection may not have been as "cohesive" as they wanted it to be it was still the most appealing to people who love fashion & even to people who know nothing about it..I really enjoyed it and I would wear everything, so I hope to see a website for new stuff soon.. congrats :D

You were great! Your collection was amazing and I would love to own every piece, unfortunately they aren't all on the shop page on bravo dot com... I want to own the elephant print dress and am going to buy the pink pleated dress but would love to as well own the accompanying beige/brown leaf sweater!! Can't wait to have a few of your pieces added to my closet!! Good luck and keep making beautiful clothes!!

You are the "Whole Package" .. you stayed focused, listened to every challenge and word from the judges, and made the most beautiful, wearable, impeccably designed and constructed clothes.. and.. you did not get involved in the "drama"/ cat fights, and you were kind to everyone.. Many people will want to work with you/buy from you.. I am sure that your family, students, and all in your life, are very proud of you. Best Wishes to you in the future.
ANNA!! I'm honestly so ecstatic you've won! You're absolutely brilliant! I loved everything you designed on this show and have even found you're website annabellnyc and fell in love with everything. Even the song that plays on the page and the poem. You have such an amazing style that fits well with young classy ladies. It's hip, shic, and f'ing cute!!! You're one hot child. hahaha much love and respect! Can't wait to see how epic you're gonna be in a couple months!!!!

Anna I have never voted for reality shows before but you caught my attention and I totally voted for you last week!!! Your entire collection was what women could and would wear. The collection made perfect sense and was stylishly innovative and fresh. The comments about the collection not being cohesive could have been better served with a different selection as they were presented down the runway. I totally got it and greatly appreciated the feminine qualities to it all.
Thank you for a great collection and I can only hope we will be able to purchase your clothing line in the future.
Don't forget the women on strict budgets, we like nice clothes also!

I would wear every single design in your collection.
Though I feel Daniella and JP are talented in "thinking outside the box", neither of their collections were practical enough for the masses.
I always say, "leave all the over-the-top stuff for the over-analyzed celebs."
You've created a collection that women of various sizes and styles will love and that is why you should win.

What a wonderful collection!!! It was cohesive in that every single piece is a knockout! People will want to wear your clothing, not just look at the pictures.

I REALLY believe that you will be the shows winner! John Paul has awesome designs but they are too avant garde for the masses. Danielle has a great line; BUT, Isaac is right! Her line doesn't have Mass appeal as well! You are the perfect combination of fashion and wearability! Love your lines, details, color combinations!
Truth is, All 4 of you will are top designers and will have AMAZING success!

i loved your clothes more and more withe every episode, and the final collection was just what totally put it over the top for me. this show is about clothes "that REAL people wear" and you are the definition of a designer who has truly taken the elite runway and brought it to the people. You have not only made the most beautiful clothes, but also the most "human" ones--they do inspire emotion, as you say.
I totally disagree with the pronouncement that your collection was not cohesive enough. REAL people would never put 'a collection" in their closet--they would want to wear different looks that had an aesthetic connection. you have certainly achieved that. i can't wait for you to open your store!!!!

Anna, your collection was amazing!!! I would wear every piece that you designed. I think it's about your audience/buyers being able to wear the clothes and not look crazy. I most likely wouldn't wear anyone else's collections that were on the runway tonight. I really hope that you win. Your collection tonight really changed my mind about you! I love it!!!
ANNA! Oh my gawd! I absolutely admire your work. You are truly focused, talented, and deserve to be in the top! I believe without a doubt you are a winner. Your collection did hang together! The color, aspect, and shapes stood out wonderfully! It's funny that these judges sit there looking like they shop in their grandmother's closet, and get any recognition at all. With the exception of Kelly and Isaac, I think you should not worry what these judges have to say, you have shown what you are made of, and you will go far beyond the stars! Keep your head up girl!
all the pleats look like the collection presented by Project Runway season 5 winner Lean's collection... talk about knockoffs.
Your collection looks a lot like Project Runway winner Leann Marshalls collection. Except for the colors you used, a lot of your clothes look like knockoffs from project runway.
