Introducing Starla My Chihuahua

Chad explains how he turns the doom and gloom of the economy around with his "buisness companion."

October 20, 2009

In real estate it is important to be creative in every approach to relate and gain the trust of a client. In tonight's episode, I brought along my "business companion" Starla, because I knew that she would help put a smile on both Gigi and her daughter's face. I owe my success in real estate to always thinking outside of the box. It is easy to fall victim to old habits or the mainstream way of selling homes. As you saw in tonight's episode, I beat to the Chad Rogers drum, and Starla is my back up singer!!

In the doom and gloom of this economy it's imperative that us realtors know how to make the best of the situation which Starla has perfected!!! I'm not saying that I bring Starla everywhere, but when duty calls she is always by my side.

Follow Starla and me on Twitter @starlathechi and @chadrogerstv

P.S- I also feel the need to thank Victoria for putting up with me when was sick. She is the best girlfriend and knows how I like my soup...HOT and SPICY!!! :)

Love the show, love the guys but I love Starla most of all. The show is informative and entertaining and all three are talented realtors. I like it that none of you guys cuss each other out probably because you're too professional and used to dealing with difficult clients but it's refreshing to hear dialogue that is assertive but not aggressive. My only c/o is not enough new episodes.

What size and how much does starla weight? How old is she?

It is about Starla. Where did you get her? Is she a mix? I would love to have a wee dog that size. Thanks Ann Marie

bye the wayy- so much cuterr then ur chiahuahua
haha

hello chad

Hi Chad,

Me and my boyfriend watched your show this this weekend and since then, he keeps telling me to "expect the paperwor" in the mail. We share custody of my dog, Jojo, a yorkshire terrier on an every other week basis. Now he has the idea that he needs 50% custody in writing--paw prints and all--after watching your show (jokingly of course--at least I think). Thanks a lot! lol

Love the show! All three guys are interesting and fun to watch as they go about their business. Chad, you are really cute (and cool) and it's rare, I think, to see someone so professional and honest in business dealings, and your actions seem just right. You are also a hard worker. Best.

Cute dog, it's not right to keep any living thing in a dark place that has no air . I don't think that you would like being mistreated ,!right chad!

Chad. Do you realize that pegged pants went out of fashion about 20 years ago? Especially for guys. And the "hip hugger" pegged is totally ridiculous looking. You look like a little kid who is trying to play grown up. You are a million dollar person but you certainly do not act like it nor do you dress like it. Leave the hip hugging pegs for the girls.
I agree with a few of the other bloggers abd getting Starla a vented case. As they said, how would you like to spend about 3-4 hours in something like what you put her in? I do not think it would be very much fun.
Did you give Starla to Victoria? If you did then you should not ask for custody. That is cruel.

You too funny; hope ur enjoying life...sometimes you are so intense.....lol.

I think Starla is a hit with the kids but it will run it's course. It's all fun and games until Starla does something wrong. You may not want to look for trouble. Also, sometimes saying nothing is best. Don't burn your bridges especially in your business and this enconomy. Some people think you have a monkey on your head! Enough with the hair spray!

Hey Chad,

Where did you get your long hair chihuahua? I am dying to know! I am currently looking for a one and yours is adorable!!! Can you mention it on the show?

Cheers!

Ok so I like that you bring Starla to listing appointments but am very concerned how you keep her in your briefcase. Do you really think this is a good place to keep a dog? Have you ever thought of getting a more appropriate bag for her? How would you like to be kept in a briefcase?

I admire your obvious integrity and honesty but always feel so bad for you when I watch the show.It is obvious that you were kind of a dork in highschool and still are trying to prove yourself cool.RELAX High school is over, and so is the bs in entailed. As one who was one of the cool kids, know that although I was never mean to anyone, there were many I thought myself a little too cool for and regret it because when you grow up, you realized that there is more to people than that. You are a kind, honest, and successful; ENJOY IT! Drop your ongoing feud with Josh; you always come out looking like the looser and pathetic. So what if he is obviously one of the cools and is more successful; ENJOY YOU!

Love Starla! Too funny that you got her to help with your real estate clients. Great idea. My mom got a long haired Chihuahua a year ago and my dad takes him along on his Real Estate appointments too. He gets allot of attention. Love the show!

I think that you are the most likly to sucseed in this economy because of your unique approach to selling homes by being professional(un-like Josh Flagg), and by making sure every home you put under your name is as perfect as it could ever get. I think this gives you a great edge.
P.S, I love Starla she is !AMAZING!

I've only watched a couple episodes of the show and really have come to like it a lot. I really like you're approach with people. I can see you have a good heart. I wish you tons of success!

Your pet is interesting - and the ploy is cute - to a point - however - get Starla - a vented Louis Vuitton case - she looked like she was hot in that case you have - that GAS STATION encounter with Josh Flagg started well with you nicely greeting him - but your closing comments where beneath even you - Chad be BIGGER and stop making negative comments about Josh Flagg or anyone - as it tarnishes your appeal - be above it

Hey Chad, Looks like you are presenting all your new clients with your new small realtor pet...Nice touch but dont over do it...if you know what i mean. Cute in the begining but may get old afterward. You are the oldest of the realtors on the show so you have to carry yourself in that fashion. Keep up the good showmenship.....
